Downtown Detroit

Detroit, Michigan was once the 5th largest city in America, with population near 2 million. Today, it doesn’t even make the “Top Ten”. While formerly known as the Automotive Capital of the World, Motown’s rich and beautiful history has since been forgotten.  Sadly, when the industry left, the people did too. “Motor City” is now a ghost town, home to only 713, 177 people. But Detroiters are not without heart. Today, they aim to share the beauty of their beloved city with the rest of the world and hope that they will see it for all that it has to offer. They struggle to inform outsiders of the struggles that they have faced and what Corporate America had taken from them. But most of all, they seek to reclaim their neighborhoods from the blight and salvage what is left of them.
